A teaching style is the teacher’s own way to teach any topic using specific methods and techniques.
There are two mai teaching styles which are: Traditional teaching and Progressive teaching.

- Traditional teaching
The teacher uses this style of teaching when he/she uses memorization techniques to learn. Here the main character is the teacher, and the students has a secondary role in the teaching-learning process. The teacher look for the students to know the content, but without paying attention to the students needs or learnig styles.
- Progressive teaching
This style of teaching is very different form the previous one since here the student plays an important role in his/her learning. Here, the teacher looks for strategies to prepare students for the real life through the usage of the critical thinking.
To teach any topic, the teacher takes into consideration the background knowledge of every student or the pre-requisite which is the positive correlation to what the teacher will teach. Furthermore, the teacher takes the preconceptions (negative background kinowledge) into consideration. This is done because people learn based on every piece of previous knowledge.
